- Remains: The spell requires some—but not the complete—corporeal remains of the creature to be resurrected, in any physical condition.
- Time limit: The deceased may have been dead for any length of time.
- Vitality: Upon returning to life, the target requires no rest, has full hit points and movement, and possesses immediate use of any and all abilities available at the time of death.
- Duration: The rites of resurrection consume a full day of prayer and pennance; if the caster is interrupted at any time, the spell fails. Otherwise, the dead creature is returned to live their life normally.

Applied Restriction
Most often, the subject must be an adherent of the caster's religion or at least the same alignment. If either is different, casting time is increased to 3 days; if both are different, casting time is a full week, during which the caster must either fast or be sustained only by divine nourishment.
