Cartography
In the grand tradition of old-school play, I've relied as much as possible on random generation to map out the world and its points of interest. World and atlas maps are created with
Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator; regional maps with
Worldographer; city and village maps with Watabou's
Medieval Fantasy City Generator and
Village Generator, respectively; and dungeon maps with Watabou's
One Page Dungeon Generator. Maps not relying on random factors are created using
Inkarnate. In all cases, any post-production work is done in
Affinity Designer.
The Welsh PiperTM
The Welsh Piper is dedicated to helping busy role-playing gamers make the most of their time with tools, rules, and templates. Some of the material herein is adapted from our websites at
The Welsh Piper and
Breeyark.org. We hope you’ll excuse its inclusion here and agree that it’s additive to
The World of Trid's overall value.
Acknowledgements
As always, my gratitude to the original B/X editors: David Cook, Steve Marsh, and Tom Moldvay. After 40 years of playing the world's most popular role-playing game, I continue to view Basic / Expert as my go-to ruleset for playability, customisation, and ease-of-use.
I’d also like to thank the patrons who support me through their generous endorsement of my Basic / Expert / Old-School Essentials work, and I very much appreciate the welcome the community has extended to me.
Finally, my heartfelt thanks and admiration to Gavin Norman, whose thoughtful dedication and organisational skill made publishing for B/X possible.
